According to the 2000 census, the Indian-American community has a higher educational attainment and a higher median family income that the general population of the United States. These achievements are a source of pride for each of us. An awareness of the legal system and cultural nuances of the United States is critical to the continued success and vitality of our community. Let’s address a few key areas that a typical Indian student is likely to encounter while in the United States.
